You are invited to join the Holly Springs Cultural Center & the Holly Springs Writer’s Guild for the 2nd Annual Holly Springs Book Festival.
This all-day event is offered in four parts:
- CHILDREN’S BOOK JAM- 9am – 1pm: The morning will be dedicated to our littlest readers. Enjoy readings by the authors of up to six curated children’s books. Wander around tables of children’s books in the lobby that you can add to the library of our budding literary aficionado. Door prizes will be drawn at noon. You must be present to win.
- READERS and WRITERS and BOOKS. OH MY – 10am – 5pm: Curated books in multiple genres will be available for viewing and purchase. Selected authors may do readings between 10am – 1pm. At that time, workshops by successful authors will be offered in several genres.
- HEADLINER – NC POET LAUREATE – Jaki Shelton Green: The 75th Poet Laureate of NC will give a talk on the writing process and the responsibility of the Poet Laureate. Read more about her pedigree here.
- RECEPTION: We will celebrate another successful book festival food and drink provided by a local vendor. Door prizes will be drawn during the reception. You must be present to win.
